Self Contained Holidays To Return On 12th April*

As most of you will now be aware, Domestic ‘Self Contained Holidays’ will hopefully be allowed from 12th April*. What does this actually mean? Basically it means you can go on holiday but with the below restrictions:

  • Within the UK
  • With members of your household
  • Campsites can re-open
  • Campervans and caravans can be used
  • Holiday homes can be visited

As hotels, hostels and B&Bs will not be opening until the 17th May at the earliest, having your own accommodation means you can get away from lockdown hell from Monday 12th April. You can find out more on the dates and restrictions on the government website.

We anticipate that there will be a surge of people looking to book ‘Self Contained Holidays’ including campervans and motorhomes so availability will reduce, if you are hoping to getaway then our advice is to book your campervan now and then look for available sites for accommodation as soon as possible. Planning it the other way round could mean you do not get the vehicle you hope for.

If you are wanting to make a reservation or discuss the options then please contact our team. You can call 0113 2899281, email sales@indigocampervanhire.co.uk, chat with us online or submit an enquiry via our contact page. If you are quick and book before 28th February, you can also benefit from Free Cancellations should things not go to plan.

*The date 12th April is the earliest that these lockdown easing rules come into play and are dependent on various results when it comes to testing, vaccinations and the R number. More information can be found on gov.co.uk.
